Both teams impressed in their respective quarter-final encounters. Defending champions Karnataka booked their semi-final berth after defeating Mumbai in a rain-affected quarter-final on Monday. Karnataka won the match by 55 runs via the VJD (V Jayadevan) method.

Mumbai posted 254/8 in their allotted overs. In reply, Karnataka were cruising at 187/1 in 33 overs when play was halted due to rain and poor light. As Karnataka had already surpassed the VJD par score at the time of interruption, they were declared winners.

Meanwhile, Vidarbha registered a convincing 76-run victory over Delhi in their quarter-final clash. Yash Rathod starred with the bat, scoring 86 off 72 balls, as Vidarbha posted a competitive 300/9 in 50 overs. In response, Delhi were bowled out for 224 in 45.1 overs.

Vidarbha will be aiming to carry their momentum into the semi-final and overcome a strong Karnataka side. The second semi-final, featuring Punjab and Saurashtra, will be played on January 16.
